Lucy-Liu
Lucy Liu is an American actor, voice actress, director producer and a singer. She is an attractive, talented actress who has helped many Asian actors to be successful in Hollywood. Following a string of early appearances on popular TV shows, her fame was boosted as she was a part of the ensemble of the show Legal Comedy Ally McBeal where she played the sly Ling Woo. The new fame she gained was transferred into roles that were filmed on the large screen in Shanghai Noon, Charlie's Angels as well as other films. The actress then gave an impressive performance in the role of Japanese criminal O'Ren Ishii, in Quentin Tarantino's Kill Bill Volume 1. In addition, she played lead roles in the failures of box office films like Rise: Blood Hunter. She then started voicing prominent characters in animated films, such for Kung Fu Panda and Tinker Bell. Screen roles of a smaller screen like Mia Mason in Cashmere Mafia didn't yield any the desired results. Southland an critically acclaimed series of crime dramas that included Liu in regular roles, helped her reestablish herself. Liu chooses her roles carefully so that she doesn't get stereotyped in the industry which is extremely competitive. While she's proud of her heritage, she does not let it limit her creativity.
