Amber Benson is an American actress, director, and producer. She was best known as Tara Maclay in the TV show Buffy the Vampire Slayer. Benson has also written the show, directed it and even starred in her own movies Chance and Lovers Liars & Lunatics. Also, she starred as Bride in Kiss the Bride movie. Benson was born on the 8th of January 1977. She was born in Birmingham Alabama the daughter of Diane and Edward Benson a psychiatrist. Danielle Benson is her sibling and an accomplished artist. Benson was brought up in a Reform Synagogue with her Reform Jewish mother and Jewish father. Since Buffy came to an end, Benson was in films like The Killing Jar and on shows such as Morganville The Series.
