Her role in the role of Willie Scott (an American nightclub performer and singer) in Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom (1984), that was directed by her eventual husband Steven Spielberg, is her most famous role. Since then, she has appeared in Dreamscape (1984), Power (1986), SpaceCamp (1986), Black Rain (1989), Love Affair (1994), Just Cause (1995) and The Love Letter (1999). The portraiture work of Capshaw was displayed in the Smithsonian National Portrait Gallery Capshaw was a daughter of Beverley Sue (nee Simon), who is a travel and beauty agent and Edwin Leon Nail (an airline employee of the airline). [4] She relocated to St. Louis, Missouri when she was five, and graduated from Hazelwood Senior High School in 1972. Capshaw was a graduate of the University of Missouri with a degree in education. She was also a part of Alpha Delta Pi. She was a Special Education teacher at Southern Boone High School Ashland, Missouri and Rock Bridge High School Columbia, Missouri.
